Etymology

Possibly a pseudo-Hispanism derived from English miracle, and influenced by words with similar endings such as Spanish cenáculo (English cenacle), espectáculo (English spectacle), etc. by analogy. Although a doublet of Spanish milagro, Spanish miráculo is less likely to be the origin due to the word being rare.

Another less likely possibility is that it came from Ecclesiastical Latin miraculum, adapted with Spanish influence.
