  1. An unproductive circumfix whose meanings largely overlap with those of per- -an with which it sometimes has variant forms.
    ‎dalam (“deep”) → ‎pedalaman (“hinterland”)
    ‎tualang (“vagabond”) → ‎petualangan (“adventure”)
    ‎kubur (“grave”) → ‎pekuburan (“graveyard”) (along with the variant form perkuburan)
