pull-tab (plural pull-tabs)

  1. The flexible piece of metal on top of a beverage can (for soda pop, beer, etc.) that opens the can when pressed, thus obviating any can opener or church key.
    Coordinate term: pop-top (originally a coordinate type, but nowadays broadly synonymous, all referring to the newer type)
  2. A ticket for a pull-tab game.
