Literally, “[e]ven when you make a millimeter mistake, this may require you to walk for a mile”;[1] calque from Chinese 差若毫釐，謬以千里 (sai nhược hào li, mậu dĩ thiên lí, “a mistake of a hair's breadth will lead to an error of a thousand li”).[2]
