Possibly Chinese, according to Zorc (1993) & Santos (1978), possibly Hokkien 山崩地裂 (soaⁿ-pang-tōe-li̍h, “uproarious; riotous; outrageous”, literally “the mountains collapse and the earth splits open”). Compare Cebuano swapang (“oppressively opportunistic”).
