Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *tsarka, from *ḱorH-ko-, o-grade from Proto-Indo-European *ḱer- (“to bind, plait”). More at thur. The Greek and Aromanian/Romanian descendants come from an older version *cark, same as Albanian cark (“id.”).[1]
