How to retrieve data from dead hard disc

i have a hard disc that is completely dead. dead in the sense the hard disc is not even detecting in computer or neither starting. i had data in that hard disc which is important. How can i take retrieve the data from that drive?

I have successfully gotten data off drives that sounded like a coffee grinder by putting them in the freezer for 24 hours then access them quickly. depends on how much damage was done to the drive you also lessen the chances those super expensive recovery services can get data off the drive.
