From Proto-Hellenic *kakkajō, from the Proto-Indo-European Lallwort root *kakka- (to defecate).[1]

Related to Latin cacō, Middle Irish caccaid, Old Armenian քակոր (kʻakor), Middle Armenian քաք (kʻakʻ), and German kacken.
