помана

Ukrainian

Etymology

Possibly reborrowing from Romanian pomană (alms, charity), which is from the same root as Ukrainian помина́ти (pomynáty, to remember). Compare Serbo-Croatian помана (feast) (attested among Serbo-Croatian minority speakers in Romania).
