אבות אכלו בוסר ושיני בנים תקהינה / אָבוֹת אָכְלוּ בֹּסֶר וְשִׁנֵּי בָּנִים תִּקְהֶינָה • (avót akh'lú bóser v'shiné baním tik'héna)
- Children will suffer for their parents' misdeeds.

- בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם לֹא־יֹאמְרוּ עוֹד אָבוֹת אָכְלוּ בֹסֶר וְשִׁנֵּי בָנִים תִּקְהֶינָה׃
- bayamím hahém lo-yom'rú ód avót akh'lú vóser v'shiné vaním tik'héna.
bayyāmīm hāhēm lō-yōmərū ʿōḏ ʾāḇōṯ ʾāḵəlū ḇṓser wəšinnē ḇānīm tiqhénā. - In those days they shall say no more: ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’
