- وقد ضمت كل تشالة عددا من عمال النقل - الحمالين - الذين تخصصوا في تنزيل البضائع من البوم الى التشالة بمساعدة بحاره السفينة، لتتوجه من هناك الى الفرضة لانزالها وعدها وتسجيلها من قبل موظف الجمارك تمهيدا لدفع الضرائب ثم نقلها الى مخازن الفرضة ليتصرف بها التاجر كيفما يشاء وتعود التشاشيل المستخدمة في النقل لعدد من التجار والنواخذة الذين يتفقون مع التنديل للقيام بذلك العمل، ويعمل تحت امرة التنديل اكثر من مئة عامل بشكل دائم، بالاضافة الى اعداد كبيرة من العمال المؤقتين، الذين يقوم التنديل من خلالهم بتنظيم عملية النقل والتنزيل واداراتها وتحديد الزامات الورديات، وتقسيم العمل بين الحمالين.
