Etymology
Variant of खजुली (khajulī) (now rare); inherited from Prakrit *𑀔𑀚𑁆𑀚𑀼𑀮𑀺𑀆 (*khajjuliā), from Sanskrit खर्जु (kharju, “itching”) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀮- (-la-) + -𑀇𑀓𑀸- (-ikā-). Cognate with Assamese খজুলি (khozuli). Doublet of खाज (khāj) and खर्जु (kharju).
