Cognate with Gujarati માનવું (mānvũ), Hindustani مَانَّا (mānnā) / मानना (mānnā), Sindhi مَڃَڻُ / मञणु, Punjabi ਮੰਨਣਾ (mannṇā) / مَنّنا (mannnā), Bengali মানা (mana), Assamese মনা (mona) / মানা (mana).
