ボドイ

Etymology

Borrowed from Vietnamese bộ đội. At first, it referred to the NVA, but after the implementation of the technical intern trainee policy, the high Vietnamese crime rate in Japan led to the word becoming derogatory. Doublet of 部隊 (butai).
