- A brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to clear the lungs and resolve phlegm, to relieve cough and asthma in the treatment of stagnation of phlegm-heat in the lung, cough and asthma, painful distension over hypochondrium, yellow and thick sputum or upper respiratory tract infection, acute bronchitis, acute attack of chronic bronchitis and pulmonary infection.
