-ytu (feminine -ytó)

Used to form masculine singulative nouns.
Used to form masculine diminutive nouns.
Used to form masculine nouns denoting origin, characteristic or occupation.

Usage notes

Used after nouns ending in the vowel -a.
After the vowels -e, -i, -o, -u the form -yta is used.
After nouns ending in a consonant, the forms -tu and -ta are used (depending on the preceding vowel).
