Inherited from Sanskrit *प्रघिरति (*praghirati), an unattested class 1 verb from the root प्रघृ (praghṛ, “to ooze out”), from प्र- (pra-, “forth”) + घृ (ghṛ, “to besprinkle, moisten”).
Influenced by 𑀧𑀕𑀮𑀁𑀢 (pagalaṃta, “dripping”), from Sanskrit प्रगलति (pragalati, “to drip”).
