Reconstruction:Proto-Indo-Iranian/uHrúš
Proto-Indo-Iranian
Etymology
Unknown; suggested to be further related to Latin vārus (“bent”).[1] Alternatively, perhaps from a root Proto-Indo-European *weH-, from which Proto-Germanic *waþwô (“calf”) could also be derived.[2]
