Reconstruction:Proto-Uralic/pojka
Proto-Uralic
Etymology
Not attested in Samoyedic (except possibly as a borrowing into Proto-Yeniseian *pojka), but no other Proto-Samoyedic term for 'boy' or 'son' is known either.
Sammallahti (1988) suggests derivation from a shorter stem *poje.

*pojka
