Etymology

Inherited from Old Czech nevražiti and rarely nevražditi. It may have been formed as a negative form of Old Czech vražiti (to mesmorize) or from ne- +‎ vrah (murderer) +‎ -it by adding extra unnecessary negative prefix to the word as in other words like neurvalý, nevrlý, neplecha, nesvár.[1]
