viesmīlis
Latvian
Etymology
Apparently a back derivation from viesmīlīgs (“hospitable”), viesmīlība (“hospitality”), made into a masculine 2nd-declension noun (ending -is).
Pronunciation
Noun

- waiter (a (male) person who serves visitors, clients at a restaurant, bar, cafe, cafeteria, etc.)
