Ukrainian
Etymology
Inherited from Old Ruthenian доба (doba, “time, period”), from Proto-Slavic *doba (“time”). Considering that sense 1 (day, nychthemeron) was absent in Old Ruthenian, it is likely a semantic loan from Polish doba.
