Etymology
Inherited from Proto-Turkic *tizgin (“rein”),[1] perhaps a derivation from *tiŕ- (“to bead, string; arrange in a row”). Cognate with Chagatai تیزگین (tizgin), Uyghur تىزگىن (tizgin) and Uzbek tizgin.
