1. -y, -ic; forms adjectives from nouns and verbs with a sense of 'being, having, or doing'.

Usually, this suffix is attached to the full stem of the base word. Thus, the variant -𐌰𐌲𐍃 (-ags) (variant -𐌰𐌷𐍃 (-ahs)) is mostly associated with derivations from a-stem nouns, -𐌴𐌹𐌲𐍃 (-eigs) with derivations from i-stem nouns and -𐌿𐌲𐍃 (-ugs) with derivations from u-stem nouns. These do not, however, seem to have been fixed rules and occasionally there are atypical derivations, such as 𐍅𐌿𐌻𐌸𐌰𐌲𐍃 (wulþags) from the u-stem 𐍅𐌿𐌻𐌸𐌿𐍃 (wulþus) and note the alternation between long and short vowels in 𐌲𐌰𐌱𐌹𐌲𐍃 (gabigs) (apparently with a suffix -igs) and 𐌲𐌰𐌱𐌴𐌹𐌲𐍃 (gabeigs).
