beeinträchtigen

German

Etymology

Not directly related to Eintracht (concord, harmony), but instead from another Eintracht, which was an East Central German variant of Eintrag (impairment). The earliest attestations of the verb are apparently from the 16th century. Regardless, both "Eintracht"s derive from the same root.
