    Borrowed from Portuguese igreja, from Old Galician-Portuguese igreja, borrowed from Latin ecclēsia, borrowed from Ancient Greek ἐκκλησία (ekklēsía), from ἐκ (ek) + καλέω (kaléō) + -ία (-ía). Doublet of کَلِیسِیا (kalīsiyā).
