ศีรษะ • (sǐi-sà)

1. (formal) head: the upper part of the body.
2. (formal and archaic) head: the upper or chief part of anything.
   • 1785, พระคลัง (หน), พระยา, “เล่ม ๒”, in ราชาธิราช, กรุงเทพฯ: โรงพิมพ์ราษฎร์เจริญ, published 1889, page 65:

     สายเกาทัณฑ์นั้นกระทบแม่มือเจตะสุกรี

     sǎai gao-tan nán grà-tóp sǐi-sà mɛ̂ɛ mʉʉ jee-dtà-sù-grii

     That bow string hit the thumb of Chetasurki.
     (literally) That bow string hit the chief of the hand digits of Chetasukri.
