我が立つ杣

Literally the “wooded [mountain] where I stand”.

我(わ)が立(た)つ杣(そま) • (waga tatsu soma) 

1. (poetic) a mountain where the first-person speaker resides
   • 1205, Shin Kokin Wakashū (book 20, poem 1920)

     阿(あ)耨(のく)多(た)羅(ら)三(さん)藐(みやく)三(さん)菩(ぼ)提(だい)の仏(ほとけ)たちわが立(た)つ杣(そま)に冥(みやう)加(が)あらせたまへ

     anokutara sanmyaku sanbodai no hotoke-tachi waga tatsu soma ni myōga arasetamae

     O supreme, perfect, and enlightened buddhas, protect the mountain-woods where I stand!

2. (by extension, poetic) synonym of 比叡山 (Hiei-zan): Mount Hiei, where Saichō erected Enryaku-ji, the first Tendai monastery

     おほけなくうき世(よ)の民(たみ)におほふかなわが立(た)つ杣(そま)に墨(すみ)染(ぞ)めの袖(そで)

     ōkenaku ukiyo no tami ni ōu kana waga tatsu soma ni sumizome no sode

     Cover me with the black-dyed sleeves [of mourning] on the mountain where I stand, away from the profane and transitory world of the commonfolk.
