1. International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

   貧(ひん)困(こん)撲(ぼく)滅(めつ)のための国(こく)際(さい)デーは、1(せん)9(きゅうひゃく)9(きゅうじゅう)9(きゅう) 年(ねん)に国(こく)際(さい)連(れん)合(ごう)によって制(せい)定(てい)された国(こく)際(さい)デーで、10(じゅう) 月(がつ) 1(じゅう)7(なな) 日(にち)に祝(いわ)われ、貧(ひん)困(こん)の撲(ぼく)滅(めつ)と人(じん)権(けん)および尊(そん)厳(げん)の尊(そん)重(ちょう)を訴(うった)えます。

   Hinkon bokumetsu no tame no kokusai dē wa, senkyūhyakukyūjūkyū nen ni kokusai rengō ni yotte seitei sareta kokusai dē de, jū gatsu jūnana nichi ni iwaware, hinkon no bokumetsu to jinken oyobi songen no sonchō o uttae masu.

   The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is an international day established by the United Nations in 1999, observed on October 17th, which calls for the eradication of poverty and respect for human rights and dignity.
