Replacing अभ्यङ्क्ते (abhyaṅkte, annoints oneself), from the root अभ्यञ्ज् (abhyañj), from अभि (abhi) +‎ अञ्ज् (añj, to annoint), probably by analogy as if to be from a passive *अभ्यज्यते (*abhyajyate). See 𑀪𑀕𑁆𑀕 (bhagga) for more.
