      lakhana kahā ham̐si hamareṃ jānā. sunahu deva saba dhanuṣa samānā.
      kā chati lābhu jūna dhanu toreṃ. dekhā rāma nayana ke bhoreṃ.1.
      With mirth on the lips, Lakshman thus replied: 'Hearken, divine sir, to my thoughts—all bows be equal.
      What harm or benefit be incurred in breaking this ancient bow of thine? Ram percieved it with but innocence in his eyes.
