随(ずい)意(い)契(けい)約(やく) • (zuī keiyaku) 

1. (Business, law) discretionary contract; ^[1][2]   negotiated contract, limited tender contract; ^[3]  no-bid contract, non-competitive contract. ^[4]

   随(ずい)意(い)契(けい)約(やく)とは、法(ほう)律(りつ)により入(にゅう)札(さつ)プロセスで締(てい)結(けつ)されなければならない契(けい)約(やく)以(い)外(がい)の契(けい)約(やく)を意(い)味(み)します。

   Zuī keiyaku to wa, hōritsu ni yori nyūsatsu purosesu de teiketsu sare nakereba naranai keiyaku igai no keiyaku o imi shimasu.

   Discretionary contract means any contract other than those which by law must be awarded on a bid process.

   随(ずい)意(い)契(けい)約(やく)は、競(きょう)争(そう)入(にゅう)札(さつ)に適(てき)さない特(とく)定(てい)の状(じょう)況(きょう)下(か)で、発(はっ)注(ちゅう)者(しゃ)が特(とく)定(てい)の業(ぎょう)者(しゃ)と直(ちょく)接(せつ)契(けい)約(やく)を結(むす)ぶ方(ほう)式(しき)です。

   Zuī keiyaku wa, kyōsō nyūsatsu ni tekisanai tokutei no jōkyō ka de, hatchūsha ga tokutei no gyōsha to chokusetsu keiyaku o musubu hōshiki desu.

   A discretionary contract is a method in which a purchaser enters into a direct contract with a specific contractor under certain circumstances where competitive bidding is not appropriate.
