Inherited from Old Anatolian Turkish دوریمك (döremek, dörimek), دورومك (dörümek, dürümek), from Proto-Turkic *törü-, a derivation from Proto-Turkic *töŕ (“essence”). By surface analysis, töz (“essence”) (obsolete) +‎ -ü (“verbal suffix”) +‎ -mää (“infinitive”). Cognate with Turkish türemek (“to reproduce”) and töz (“substance”); Azerbaijani törəmək.[1][2]
