முடி • (muṭi) (intransitive)

1. to end, to conclude, to be complete, as in sense

   Synonym: முற்றுப்பெறு (muṟṟuppeṟu)

2. to be effected or accomplished
3. to be destroyed, to perish

   Synonym: அழி (aḻi)

4. to incite persons to a quarrel

   Synonym: சண்டை மூட்டு (caṇṭai mūṭṭu)

• To say 'can' in the present tense, the verb will always be in the 3rd person neuter singular future form, with முடியும் (muṭiyum) for being able to do something and முடியாது (muṭiyātu) for not being able to do something.
• Referring to past ability will use the 3rd person neuter singular past forms, as expected.
