     When the group of astrologers had evasively gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Get up and take both the young child and his mother, and flee and go and stay in the land of Egypt, and having reached it, do stay there until we then tell you to come back again, for King Herod will be sending men to kill the child.”

From Sanskrit क्षत्रिय (kṣatriya, “kṣatriya: the ruling and military elite, being one of the four social classes in the society”). Compare Pali khattiya, from which Thai ขัตติยะ was derived. Cognate with Modern Khmer ក្សត្រិយ៍ (ksat).
